Job Summary
Senior Director, Government & Public Affairs for China (Beijing) to lead Nike’s central government engagement and advocacy efforts. Drive proactive policy strategy, build high-level relationships with ministries and regulators, translate policy trends into strategic recommendations for business leaders, and lead a GPA team to support growth while protecting Nike’s brand and intellectual property. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with commercial, legal, supply chain, and communications teams; manage external partnerships with industry groups and advisors; and facilitate visits/meetings for executives. Requires extensive experience navigating China’s political/regulatory environment, strong stakeholder management, and ability to craft impactful government engagement strategies in a complex market.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in government affairs, public policy or related fields with substantial China experience
- Experience with multinational consumer goods/retail sectors
- Proven ability to engage central government ministries and agencies in China
- Strong leadership and team-development experience
- Excellent Mandarin and English communication skills
