Job Summary
Own Google Workspace administration, escalations, and configuration across Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Groups, and Shared Drives. Define standards for configuration, sharing, lifecycle management, and security controls including admin access, audit logging, and data-protection settings. Support phishing protection, DLP, retention, and incident-response requirements while maintaining audit evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and SOX. Ensure effective integration with SSO, MFA, and SCIM processes, and automate repetitive tasks using Google APIs, Apps Script, PowerShell, or Python. Evaluate and roll out Workspace AI capabilities like Gemini safely. Build dashboards for visibility into Workspace health, adoption, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years administering Google Workspace in a production environment
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Groups, Shared Drives, and Google Admin console
- Experience configuring Workspace security and governance controls, including sharing policies, admin roles, audit logs, and data protection
- Scripting or automation experience using Google APIs, Apps Script, PowerShell, or Python
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
- 2,000+ users preferred
- Google Workspace Administrator certification
- Experience with DLP, retention, eDiscovery, or Google Vault
- Experience configuring Gemini for Google Workspace or similar enterprise AI tools
- Familiarity with Okta or other identity platforms
- Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or SOX
