Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable software systems and engineering platforms using Go and TypeScript. Solve complex architectural problems by developing production-grade solutions for internal tools, services, and infrastructure supporting AI-native and agentic systems. Collaborate with senior engineers to design robust solutions while contributing to best practices in reliability and performance across Azure and AWS. Work independently in a fully remote environment, focusing on platform engineering rather than sole feature delivery. This initial 6-month contract is for a candidate based in Portugal or Brazil.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with Go (Golang) and TypeScript
- Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems, rather than focusing solely on feature delivery
- A strong platform engineering mindset, with experience building tools, systems, or infrastructure that other engineers depend on
- Hands-on experience building AI-native, AI, or agentic systems, or developing infrastructure/platforms to support AI workloads
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, scalability, and reliability
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- English level: Fluent
- All candidates must be currently based in Portugal or Brazil
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with both Azure and AWS
- Experience designing and building AI/LLM platforms or agentic architectures
- Experience with developer platforms, internal tooling, APIs, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Experience working in fast-paced, technically complex environments
