Job Summary
Lead sourcing and lifecycle management for chassis structure programs, driving competitive bid processes and negotiating commercial terms and long-term agreements with Tier 1 suppliers. Manage medium to large spend projects while monitoring economic and technology landscapes to mitigate risks and close cost gaps using industry intelligence. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide detailed forecasting and costs that support multi-generational vehicle strategies. This onsite role in Myford requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in chassis structural components. The position involves 25% domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Specific negotiation and technical experience for the assigned commodity
- Understands cost estimation models to identify risk
- Commodity experience in Chassis structural components (subframes, control arms, links, bushings, ball joints)
- Proficient in SAP
- Proficient in Basecamp
- Ability to defuse conflicts
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Comfortable receiving general instructions on new assignments
- Ability to manage day-to-day work with independence
- 25% Domestic and International travel
