Job Summary
Support the development, revision, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for glassware processing and laboratory support. Mentor and train new team members on procedures, safety requirements, and equipment operation. Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware while operating autoclaves, glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths. Inspect glassware for cleanliness, residue, and structural defects prior to release, and perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintain temperature chart records, equipment logs, and documentation using Good Documentation Practices. Monitor inventory levels, ensure housekeeping standards, and collaborate with other laboratory support teams for seamless service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
- Associate's degree in a scientific discipline
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of relevant laboratory or operational experience
- 5 or more years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or related operational environment
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience in glass wash or laboratory support services
- Previous mentoring or training experience
- Experience developing, revising, or maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
