Senior GL Reporting Analyst - EMEA

Job Summary

Own general ledger accounting activities for assigned entities, including complex journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely resolution of issues, while ensuring accurate ERP posting and challenging unsupported transactions. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and maintain audit trails compliant with internal controls and SOX requirements. Liaise with Finance functions, OpCo stakeholders, and auditors to resolve complex accounting issues and support ad-hoc reporting requests. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate RTR processes using digital finance tools and AI. Act as a technical reference point for Analyst profiles, supporting knowledge transfer and process clarification within the Finance Shared Services environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in accounting, RTR, audit or financial reporting within a Shared Services or corporate environment
  • Solid understanding of statutory accounts and disclosure requirements, with proven experience coordinating annual audit processes and reviewing information provided to external auditors
  • Proven experience performing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, with solid exposure to Spanish GAAP and IFRS (including IFRS 16)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, BC Media, Maconomy, or similar)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with digital finance, automation and AI-enabled tools
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review and challenge accounting outputs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities with limited supervision
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and explain accounting issues effectively
  • Ability to act as a senior reference point, support Analyst profiles and operate within review and control cycles
  • Transformation mindset, with willingness to improve processes, strengthen controls and adopt new ways of working
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge or exposure to Belgian GAAP (BE GAAP) and Dutch GAAP / Dutch Financial Reporting Standards (NL GAAP)
  • Additional languages such as Italian
  • Experience working with digital finance, automation and AI-enabled tools
