Job Summary
Oversee general ledger activities, perform month-end close duties for COGS and inventory, and manage fixed asset accounting including journal entries and impairment assessments. Prepare reconciliations, analyze balances, and execute quarterly inventory obsolescence reserve and semi-annual cost roll processes. Support audits, generate management reporting for retail stores, and conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed. This full-time exempt role in Seattle offers a salary of $85,000-$105,000 with 11 paid holidays, PTO, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of general financial and cost accounting principles, including experience with cost-of-goods sold and inventory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work independently
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify root-cause issues and propose solutions to leadership
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passionate and energetic team player who can work cross-functionally with a variety of non-finance teams
- Proficient with accounting software and experience using an ERP system, business intelligence and reporting tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desired Qualifications
- CPA preferred
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance
