Job Summary
Coordinate geotechnical projects and lead a team of specialists in soil mechanics, environmental consulting, and infrastructure damage expertise. Conduct site investigations, ground reconnaissance borings, and foundation advice while managing quality control for execution and reporting. Drive the strategic growth of geotechnical services in Belgium by shaping team development, investing in new technologies, and influencing service organization. Collaborate daily with experts in hydrogeology and asbest to solve complex multidisciplinary engineering challenges for clients.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in a scientific direction (civil engineer, industrial engineer, geologist, ...) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical research
- Some years in a coordinating or supervisory role
- Demonstrable experience in guiding, coaching, and developing employees
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
- Natural leadership style where collaboration, quality, and results are central
- Need for a varied job, both in the office and outdoors
- Strong sense of responsibility and engagement
- Flexibility regarding the assignment
- Possession of a driver's license B
- Knowledge of French and/or English is a key asset
- Practical experience and technical expertise
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear, practical advice
- Ability to monitor and update legislation and changes
- Role as the internal and external contact point for geotechnics and soil mechanics
- Participation in quality control of execution and reporting within the domain
- Ability to manage and develop a team of specialists
- Ability to contribute to the further development of the firm's services, expertise, and market position
- Ability to combine technical insight with responsibility, accuracy, and customer orientation
- Ability to work with specialists in soil investigation, environment, construction pathology, asbestos, infrastructure, and damage expertise
- Ability to handle complex multidisciplinary projects
- Ability to provide advice on: Sondingsadvies, Grondherkenningsboringen, Grondmechanische proeven, Funderingsadvies, Zettingsberekeningen, Infiltratiestudies, Bemalingsstudies, Grondwatermonitoring, Kwaliteit van lozingswater
- Ability to work on dossiers of a geotechnical nature or with a hydrogeological perspective
- Ability to take on responsibility
- Ability to further develop specialization
- Ability to contribute to the further development of asbestos activities of EFI Global Belgium
Desired Qualifications
