Job Summary
Coordinate geotechnical projects and lead a team of specialists in soil mechanics, environmental, and infrastructure expertise. Manage complex multidisciplinary dossiers involving ground investigation, foundation advice, settlement calculations, and groundwater monitoring while ensuring compliance with regulations and quality control. Guide staff development, drive team strategy, and translate technical findings into practical client solutions. Combine technical leadership with people management to shape the growth of EFI Global Belgium's geotechnical services.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in a scientific direction (civil engineer, industrial engineer, geologist, ...) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical research
- Some years in a coordinating or supervisory role
- Demonstrable experience in guiding, coaching, and developing employees
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
- Natural leadership style where collaboration, quality, and results are central
- Need for a varied job, both in the office and outdoors
- Strong sense of responsibility and engagement
- Flexibility regarding the assignment
- Valid driver's license B
- Knowledge of French and/or English
- Practical experience and technical expertise
- Insight into and ability to track legislation and changes
- Role as the internal and external contact point for geotechnics and soil mechanics
- Participation in quality control of execution and reporting within this domain
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear, practically applicable advice
