Job Summary
Supervise drilling and soil sampling while preparing borehole logs and location plans in AutoCAD. Carry out shallow and deep foundation evaluations, monitor groundwater elevations and sampling, and track site grading activities including limited surveying. Perform in-situ soil density and compaction tests, alongside concrete, mortar, grout, and asphalt sampling and testing. Work closely with contractors, consultants, and municipal personnel. Support the concrete and soils lab as needed. Requires a Bachelor's or diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to travel throughout Southern Ontario. Salary range $62k-$82k.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or diploma in Civil Engineering Technician/Technologist
- Minimum 5 years (technician/technologist) or 2 years (EIT) of relevant experience, preferably from a consulting engineering office environment
- Valid driver's license
- Possibility to travel throughout Southern Ontario job sites
- Strong written and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of MTO, CSA, CCIL, and ASTM procedures
