Job Summary
Lead and support geotechnical engineering projects from planning through design and construction, performing and overseeing investigations including drilling programs and subsurface evaluations. Conduct analyses and design for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, and earth retention systems while completing modeling for seepage, slope stability, and pile analysis. Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and construction documents to ensure deliverables meet regulatory requirements and company quality standards. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and collaborate across disciplines to support complex infrastructure and environmental projects. Assist with client engagement and business development to expand service offerings. This hybrid role offers flexibility to collaborate in-office with a high-performing team while working remotely part of the week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- 6+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (CT, MA, or RI), or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven experience delivering geotechnical services
- Strong experience with geotechnical modeling and analysis tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
- Project management and supervisory experience
