Job Summary
Lead geotechnical engineering projects from conception to completion, overseeing designs for infrastructure, commercial, residential, and environmental developments. Plan and execute field investigations to interpret soil, rock, and groundwater conditions, then develop foundation designs, earth retention systems, and slope stability analyses. Prepare technical reports and proposals while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Serve as the primary client contact to deliver high-quality solutions and mentor junior engineers. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex projects. Required Qualifications
- over 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience
- expertise on a variety of projects including infrastructure, commercial, residential, and environmental developments
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience with a focus on design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- California PE or ability to obtain it within 6 months
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, LPILE, gINT)
- Strong understanding of California-specific building codes and geotechnical standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

- Master's degree
- Experience working in the San Jose area or similar geotechnical environments
- California PE or ability to obtain it within 6 months
