Job Summary
Lead geotechnical engineering efforts for a major infrastructure project, guiding site investigations, soil testing, and foundation design; ensure compliance with geotechnical standards; provide technical guidance on ground improvement, slope stability, and foundation systems; collaborate with structural and roadway engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into design plans; review geotechnical reports and calculations; identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; support permitting, stakeholder coordination, and construction oversight as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including leadership roles in infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain one within six months
- Expertise in geotechnical analysis, foundation design, and soil-structure interaction
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, LPILE, GeoStudio, or similar tools
- Knowledge of geotechnical standards, specifications, and design criteria
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex subsurface challenges
- Ability to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
