Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary
Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including engineering analysis, report preparation, field exploration, and laboratory services. Provide senior-level review of proposals and reports to ensure client commitments are met. Direct and develop proposals and presentations while assisting in business development activities. Supervise geotechnical staff and technicians. Actively participate in professional and technical organizations. This senior-level role requires a California PE and at least five years of relevant experience in public works and transportation projects.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have experience with public works and transportation projects
- Must have experience with geotechnical design and calculations for permanent and temporary support systems for excavation and building foundations
- Seismic risk analysis and soil structure interaction analysis abilities
- A qualified candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant geotechnical senior-level engineering experience
- Possess an advanced degree in geotechnical engineering
- experience in processing foundation reports
- experience as a project manager
- A California PE is required
- California GE or the ability to quickly obtain GE is required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with software, including gINT, LPile, SlopeW, MathCAD, and CAD is preferred
- P.E. (G.E. Preferred)
