Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineer leading investigations across transportation, municipal, land development and resource projects. Responsibilities include geotechnical analysis of stability, stress, deformation and foundation response; preparing fee estimates and proposals; driving business development and client management; managing project schedules and budgets; mentoring junior staff; growing technical expertise to support McElhanney’s geotechnical team; travel to Fort St. John as needed. Requires university degree in geotechnical/geological/civil engineering with geotechnical emphasis and a PEng in BC (Alberta a plus); 8-12 years of relevant experience; strong project management and client-relations capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Geotechnical/Geological Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis
- Minimum 8-12 years progressive experience in geotechnical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PEng) registration in British Columbia; Alberta registration is an asset
