Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Marine & Coastal Infrastructure leads multidisciplinary geotechnical projects in marine/coastal environments, manages site investigations and design/reporting, develops scopes and proposals, performs QA/QC and risk assessments, prepares drawings/specifications/bid packages, mentors junior to mid-level engineers, engages in client presentations, and collaborates across regional offices; requires expertise in soil/rock mechanics, seismicity, groundwater hydrology, and advanced geotechnical software, with travel domestically and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Master of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and licensure
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering related to marine, coastal, or hydraulic infrastructure
- Expertise in soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, groundwater hydrology, and soil-structure interaction
- Strong proficiency with geotechnical engineering software such as gINT, APILE, LPILE, PYWALL, GeoStudio suite, PLAXIS, FLAC, SLOPE/W, and Settle3
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Proven project leadership capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
