Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineer leading multidisciplinary teams on design and execution of marine and coastal geotechnical projects (nearshore, hydraulic, waterfront) across North America and beyond. Responsibilities include managing geotechnical and geophysical site investigations (planning, data collection, analysis, reporting); developing engineering scopes, technical proposals, and design reports; performing QA/QC reviews, data interpretation, risk assessments; preparing construction documents (drawings, specifications, bid packages); mentoring junior to mid-level engineers; engaging in client presentations and supporting proposal development; collaborating across teams and regional offices in a collaborative, inclusive culture. Requires a Master’s/MEng in Geotechnical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred), 10+ years of relevant experience, Professional Engineer licensure, expertise in soil/rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, groundwater hydrology, soil-structure interaction, and proficiency with gINT, APILE, LPILE, PYWALL, GeoStudio, PLAXIS, FLAC, SLOPE/W, Settle3; knowledge of seismic stability, liquefaction, seepage analysis, ground improvement; travel willingness.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Master of Engineering preferred; Ph.D. preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- 10+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience in marine/coastal/hydraulic infrastructure
- Proficiency with gINT, APILE, LPILE, PYWALL, GeoStudio suite, PLAXIS, FLAC, SLOPE/W, Settle3
- Strong communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
