Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineer leads multidisciplinary teams on the design and execution of geotechnical projects in marine and coastal environments, manages site investigations, develops scopes and design reports for waterfront and hydraulic infrastructure, performs QA/QC and risk assessments, prepares construction documents, mentors junior to mid-level engineers, engages in client presentations and proposal development, and collaborates across regional offices to support growth.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Master of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering related to marine, coastal, or hydraulic infrastructure
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and licensure
- Expertise in soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, groundwater hydrology, and soil-structure interaction
- Strong proficiency with geotechnical engineering software such as gINT, APILE, LPILE, PYWALL, GeoStudio suite, PLAXIS, FLAC, SLOPE/W, and Settle3
- Extensive knowledge of seismic stability, liquefaction, seepage analysis, and ground improvement methods
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proven project leadership capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Advanced numerical modeling and innovative ground improvement techniques
- Experience with environmental and sustainability considerations in marine projects
- Proven success managing large-scale, multi-year infrastructure projects
