Job Summary
This Senior Geotechnical Engineer role based in Brisbane requires supervision of geotechnical investigations, development of design parameters for earthworks and foundations, bearing capacity and settlement analyses, soil liquefaction assessments, ground improvement and pile design/installation, and coordination with other disciplines. The position involves part-time telework with at least three days in-person weekly at the office/project, and may require extended site presence in Weipa North QLD during investigations, transitioning to execution phases. Strong experience in geotechnical software and field/lab testing, along with knowledge of Australian and international codes, is essential. English communication and collaboration within an integrated team are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university
- minimum 8 years of related experience
- prefer PhD in Geotechnical Engineering
- experience with geotechnical software (SLOPE/W, LPILE, PLAXIS)
- excellent communication skills
- English proficiency
- knowledge of industry codes and standards (Australian and international) related to geotechnical engineering
- ability to coordinate with other technical disciplines
- QA/QC awareness during construction
