Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineering Consultant / Principal Engineer at BLE leading geotechnical projects across transportation, infrastructure, campus facilities, mid/high-rise buildings, civil infrastructure, and geologic-hazard mitigation. Responsibilities include technical oversight, project and client management, mentoring staff, cultivating partnerships with public/private sector stakeholders, driving business development, reviewing proposals/reports, and adopting new technologies for improved efficiency. Requires extensive geotechnical design experience, PE licensure in SC/NC (or ability to obtain), and ability to travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in SC or NC (ability to license in additional Southeastern states within six months)
- 15 years of relevant professional experience
- Extensive knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements for retaining structures, deep foundations, earthwork, and ground improvement
