Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineering Consultant responsible for technical oversight, project and client management, mentoring staff, and business development within BLE's Geotechnical Group. Projects span transportation, infrastructure, campus facilities, mid to high-rise buildings, civil infrastructure, and geologic hazard mitigation. Requires PE licensure in SC/NC with potential to license in additional Southeastern states, 15+ years of experience, and travel up to 10%. Focus on advancing geotechnical capabilities, fostering client relationships, and contributing to proposals and reports. Leadership attributes include strategic thinking, clear communication, excitement, and management focus. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
- 15 years of relevant professional experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or North Carolina, with the ability to become licensed in additional Southeastern states within six months
- Extensive knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements for retaining structures, deep foundations, earthwork construction, and ground improvement technology
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for site meetings, marketing, technical seminars, regulatory seminars, engineering workshops, and client development within the Southeastern US
