Job Summary
Senior Geotechnical Engineering Consultant for BLE to oversee technical oversight, project and client management, and business development within BLE's Geotechnical Group; projects span transportation, infrastructure, campus facilities, mid to high-rise buildings, civil infrastructure, and geologic hazard mitigation; involves mentoring staff, reviewing proposals/reports, fostering partnerships, and adopting new technologies for improved project efficiency and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
- 15 years of relevant professional experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or North Carolina, with ability to become licensed in additional Southeastern states within six months
- Extensive knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements for retaining structures, deep foundations, earthwork construction, and ground improvement technology
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for site meetings, marketing, technical seminars, regulatory seminars, engineering workshops, and client development within the Southeastern US
