Job Summary
Senior Geomodeler to develop and maintain 3D geological and resource models for mining operations and exploration; interpret drillhole, geophysical, geochemical, and structural data to define mineralization domains; perform geostatistical analysis and resource estimation; ensure QA/QC and data validation; integrate models into mine planning, production scheduling, and reporting; support Mineral Resource and Reserve statements (NI 43-101, JORC, S-K 1300); collaborate with geology and engineering teams; mentor junior geologists; advance modeling workflows and software tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, Mining Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in geological modeling, resource estimation, or mine geology in the mining industry
- Strong understanding of geological interpretation, orebody modeling, and geostatistics (including variography and estimation methods)
- Experience with geological databases, QA/QC processes, and data validation
- Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine, MineSight, or similar)
- Experience working in multidisciplinary mining environments and communicating technical results to operational teams
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and technical reporting skills
