Job Summary

Lead diamond drill core and RC chip logging, sampling, and geological interpretation while designing and overseeing drilling programs for resource confirmation and exploration. Monitor active drill rigs, validate survey data, and ensure QA/QC protocols are followed for all field activities. Mentor junior geologists and core technicians, then develop geological models, cross-sections, and datasets to support mineral resource estimation and mine development. Interpret structural and geophysical data to prepare technical presentations for management and collaborate across engineering and metallurgical teams. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Geology with five years of experience in mineral exploration, porphyry copper deposits, and open-pit mining. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, operate four-wheel-drive vehicles in remote terrain, and work safely in rugged environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in mineral exploration, mine geology, resource geology, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting and overseeing drilling programs and geological modeling
  • Experience with industry-standard GIS, 3D geological interpretation, and geological data systems, such as Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS, or comparable software
  • Strong knowledge of sampling protocols, QA/QC procedures, core logging practices, RQD, oriented core technology, and geological databases
  • Experience with geological mapping and interpretation of structural and geophysical data
  • Previous experience working with porphyry copper deposits
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate four-wheel-drive vehicles in remote and rugged terrain
  • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate work assignments, procedures, and safety requirements in English
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work safely in field environments, including remote and rugged terrain
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Open-pit mining experience is preferred
