Senior Geologist - Hydrogeological Services Department

Job Summary
Senior Geologist leading complex hydrogeological projects within BLE’s Hydrogeological Services Department. You will provide leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight for groundwater and soil assessments at landfill facilities, prepare and review HARs, CAPs, ASD documentation, and EMPs, and serve as a regional SME while coordinating with regulators and clients. The role requires strong project management, QA/QC of deliverables, data interpretation across geological, hydrogeological, and chemical datasets, effective technical writing and presentation, and ability to manage multiple subcontractors and budgets. Travel regionally is expected; ideal candidates have PG credentials, a Bachelor’s degree, 10 years of senior-level experience with 5+ years in management, and an MS degree is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geology, civil/environmental engineering, environmental science or related field
- Professional Geologist (PG) credentials
- 10 years of senior-level experience with 5+ years in project management, supervision and mentoring
- Ability to design field sampling programs and manage multiple subcontractors
- Ability to interpret geological, hydrogeological and chemical data from contaminated sites
- Proficiency in groundwater statistics
- Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, and time management
- Leadership and client management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Willingness to travel regionally for short periods
- MS degree preferred (M.S. degree)
