Job Summary
Senior Generator Field Technician to supervise and train field service technicians, startup, service, and repair industrial generators and related equipment (including Bypass Isolation ATS). Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team, drive safety initiatives, implement QC procedures, assist with planning and quoting complex service projects, support after-hours emergency responses, and coordinate with the Service Director on staffing, performance coaching, and warranty processes. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities, including directing technicians, identifying training needs, and ensuring high-quality field operations with customer-focused support. Occasional overnight travel is required; remote-work is supported for the home-based chapter, with the Houston, TX area as a primary location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification and training is required
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
- Overnight travel may be required
