Job Summary
Senior GenAI Engineer responsible for end-to-end RAG pipelines from document ingestion and chunking strategy to retrieval evaluation and answer quality, fine-tuning and deployment of LLMs for German-language use cases, designing robust, scalable AI systems that meet enterprise reliability and compliance requirements, building evaluation frameworks (automated evals, Human-in-the-Loop tests, regression suites), and collaborating with Fullstack developers and enterprise customers to translate requirements into productive AI features; remote-first with occasional travel to Frankfurt.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years software development experience
- at least 2 years in applied AI/ML in production environments
- deep Python knowledge (clean, testable, production-ready code)
- hands-on experience with RAG architectures and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant or similar)
- solid understanding of at least one large LLM provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) and best practices in prompt engineering
- ML Ops experience: model versioning, deployment, monitoring, graceful degradation
- experience with orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar)
- strong German language skills (minimum B2, aiming for C1 within 6 months)
- ability to define problems and propose solutions in ambiguous contexts
