Senior GCP DevOps Engineer | Remote in Hawaii

Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform while supporting deployment, monitoring, and reliability of cloud-based applications. Develop infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines, partnering with engineering teams to streamline releases and assist with production troubleshooting and incident response. Improve cloud security, access controls, and operational standards by identifying opportunities for enhanced reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Create technical documentation and collaborate with distributed teams across time zones. Must be located in Hawaii and available until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud infrastructure
- Experience supporting cloud-based applications and production environments
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Understanding of containers and technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or a similar language
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, networking, security, and access management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams
- Must be located in Hawaii
- Must be able to regularly work until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, or Cloud Monitoring
- Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience working with highly available or business-critical systems
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, security best practices, or disaster recovery
- Google Cloud or other relevant cloud certifications
