Job Summary
Senior Gameplay Designer for Epic Games’ LEGO collaboration. You’ll design, prototype, tune, and ship gameplay features across combat, progression, systems, and live content. Collaborate with design leadership, art, engineering, animation, UX, audio, production, and QA to deliver high-quality features from concept through ship. Own and iterate on gameplay systems and content, balancing player experience, readability, accessibility, engagement, and long-term retention. Document clear design docs, create scripting/data/content for features, solicit and integrate feedback, and help establish design pipelines, best practices, and cross-discipline communication to scope, prioritize deliverables, and hit milestones.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience shipping first or third-person shooter titles as a Gameplay Designer
- experience on itemization, gameplay systems, combat, ability systems, features, and content
- strong scripting and technical capabilities
- experience with Unreal Engine and the Ability System (bonus)
- experience working on live-service multiplayer environments
- ability to break down high-level creative direction into actionable gameplay features and production-ready tasks
- ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing project needs
