Job Summary
Gameplay Designer to create compelling gameplay experiences across combat, progression, systems, and live gameplay content for a collaboration with Disney. You will own and iterate on gameplay systems, mechanics, and content, balance player experience, readability, accessibility, engagement, and long-term retention. Collaborate with design leadership, art, engineering, animation, UX, audio, production, and QA to deliver features from concept through ship; document design specs, prototype and tune features, and oversee implementation. Contribute to design pipelines, best practices, and cross-discipline communication to scope, prioritize deliverables, and hit milestone goals. Strong scripting and Unreal Engine experience, plus live-service multiplayer background, are essential. Be highly collaborative, player-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with iterative feedback.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience shipping first or third-person shooter titles as a Gameplay Designer
- Strong scripting and technical capabilities; Unreal Engine and Ability System experience (bonus)
- Experience working on live-service multiplayer environments
- Ability to break down high-level creative direction into actionable gameplay features and production-ready tasks
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Commitment to quality and rapid iteration
