Job Summary
Oversee service providers and perform initial reviews of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and accounting for funds, ETFs, and AEGON fund complex related companies in accordance with SEC regulations. Prepare and provide initial reviews of regulatory reports to the SEC, shareholders, and insurance regulators, while supporting managers with day-to-day annual audits including PBC documents and audit confirmations. Review daily financial reporting and NAV oversight, develop process procedures and controls for accounting operations, and manage expense budgets, general ledger activity, and fund performance calculations. This hybrid role in Denver supports TAM's vision to grow a profitable, scalable investment platform managing approximately $65 billion in net assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or financial services related field, or equivalent education/experience
- Generally five years of relevant work experience
- Proficient Microsoft Word and Excel skills (fundamental Visual Basic skills specifically related to use of Excel macros)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of SEC financial accounting and reporting requirements
- Hybrid schedule in our Denver office
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the fund administrator (State Street) fund accounting, financial reporting, and custody system
