Job Summary
Senior Fund Accountant oversees NAV calculations and financial statement reviews for a portfolio of Luxembourg-domiciled closed-ended private equity funds, ensuring NAVs are prepared in line with Luxembourg GAAP/IFRS and fund documentation; acts as primary liaison with external auditors and clients, reviews complex accounting areas (e.g., distribution waterfall, carried interest, equalisation), and supports onboarding, system setup, risk controls, and process improvements; provides coaching to junior team members and contributes to accounting policy development. Skills emphasized include Luxembourg GAAP/IFRS knowledge, private equity fund mechanics, client and auditor coordination, and proficiency with fund documentation and accounting systems (e.g., Investran).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4–6 years of experience in fund accounting within a private equity environment
- Strong practical knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and closed-ended fund accounting
- Solid understanding of Luxembourg fund structures (ring-fencing, compartments/sub-funds, master-feeder structures)
- Experience with auditors and client-facing interactions
- Professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage
- Experience with fund accounting systems such as Investran is a strong asset
- Fluent in English; French is an advantage
