Job Summary
Senior Fund Accounting Manager/AVP responsible for maintaining books and records for private partnerships and separately managed accounts, with oversight of offshore accounting teams. Ensure funds are accounted for per governing documents; oversee reconciliations of cash/assets; record hedging activity; review complex corporate actions; prepare monthly closings and distribution waterfalls; calculate income/expenses and prepare periodic financial reports; coordinate with auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators; lead projects. Requires 8+ years accounting experience (5+ in financial services/investment management), strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and ideally SS&C Geneva; Bachelor's in Accounting required with CPA a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA is a plus
- Minimum 8 years accounting experience with a mix of public and private accounting
- At least 5 years experience within the financial services industry, preferably within the investment management industry
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
- Excel and Word proficiency
- SS&C Geneva experience is highly desirable
