Job Summary
Senior Fund Accountant responsible for record-keeping and financial reporting for private equity investment partnerships; will oversee journal entries and general ledger, reconcile bank accounts, prepare capital calls and distributions, and ensure accurate allocations per partnership agreements. Role requires reviewing and approving work of cash operations and financial reporting analysts, analyzing investment transactions and valuations, and providing client-facing financial reporting and advisory support. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to prepare financial statements, footnotes, and management reports is required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in fund accounting for private equity or similar investment vehicles
- Record keeping and financial reporting for investment partnerships
- Ability to review and approve work of junior teams (cash operations and financial reporting analysts)
- Knowledge of limited partnership agreements and allocations
- Preparation of financial statements and footnotes
- Client-facing accounting role experience
- Understanding of investment transactions, valuations, and applicable accounting standards
- Ability to analyze investment performance and present results to clients
