Job Summary
The Senior Fund Accountant is responsible for examining and analyzing accounting records for accuracy, reviewing work-papers, preparing financial statements, and analyzing investment documents. Key responsibilities include training new employees, calculating carried interest, and preparing call and distribution letters in accordance with Fund Governing Agreements. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics, or Finance, along with at least 2 years of experience in private equity fund accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics and/or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in a private equity fund accounting position
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of consolidations with non-controlling interest
- Working knowledge of realized and unrealized waterfall allocations
