Job Summary
The Senior Fund Accountant will examine and analyze accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards. Responsibilities include reviewing work-papers, preparing call and distribution letters, calculating carried interest, and allocating profits and losses per Fund Governing Agreement. The role also involves preparing Consolidated Financial Statements with footnotes, analyzing investment documents, setting up investment structures, calculating tax expenses/benefits, and training new employees. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics, or Finance, and at least 2 years of experience in private equity fund accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics and/or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in a private equity fund accounting position
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of consolidations with non-controlling interest
- Working knowledge of realized and unrealized waterfall allocations
