Job Summary

Prepare and review multi-tiered waterfall calculations against fund governing documents, overseeing fund administrator preparation of capital call and distribution notices. Aggregate property-level financials to produce quarterly books and records, perform entity consolidations, and lead preparation of face financial statements and footnote disclosures. Coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end testing, compile support for borrower reporting, and calculate covenant tests such as DSCR and liquidity. Act as primary contact with investors and lenders on accounting and performance matters, ensuring accurate recording of subscriptions and transfers. Oversee funds accounts payable in Bill.com, maintain expense forecasts, and track debt and equity capitalization for the commercial real estate portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in real estate, private credit, or private equity
  • Experience with financial reporting, accounting consolidations, and waterfall models
  • Knowledge of differences between open end and close end fund structures
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA license preferred
  • Experience with Yardi, Bill.com, and working fund administrators preferred
  • Focus on understanding and improving existing processes through structure/technology implementation, and intuition for practical applications of AI tools
