Job Summary
Lead the Functional Safety team by deriving Functional Safety Requirements for Transmission, Inverter, and DC-DC converter sub-systems per ISO26262 Parts 4, 5, and 6. Develop Technical Safety Concepts, Hardware Safety Requirements, and Software Safety Requirements for the Electrification product line, including Level 2 Function Monitoring layers using EGAS standards. Design System Architecture for power electronics controllers using Matlab tools and interface with global experts to specify sub-system requirements. Manage change management, requirements in Polarion, and generate functional test plans for compliance testing. Guide the team in estimation, planning, and execution of safety activities while ensuring work products meet quality standards. Perform product functional testing on test benches and dynamometers.
Required Qualifications
- B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Power Electronics/Electronics/Communication/Electrical
- 10 to 12 years experience
- Lead the Functional Safety team
- Provide technical guidance on ISO26262 Part4 (Systems Level), Part 5 and Part6
- Derive Functional Safety Requirements for Transmission, Inverter, DC-DC converter and other Power Electronics Sub-Systems
- Develop Technical Safety Concept, Technical Safety Requirements, Hardware Safety Requirements and Software Safety Requirements for Electrification product line
- Develop Level 2 - Function Monitoring layer as per EGAS standards
- Develop System Design for Transmission, Inverter and other Power Electronics Sub-Systems using Matlab tools
- Interface with experts across the globe to evaluate and specify power electronics sub-systems requirements
- Generate power electronics controllers design concept (Product Mechanization)
- Perform change management with the customer and internally (Requirements management in Polarion)
- Generate product functional test plan (compliance testing)
- Perform product functional testing on test bench and dynamometer
- Guide the team in the estimation, planning, and execution of safety activities
- Ensure work products are delivered with quality and in accordance with the plan
- Deep Expertise in Functional Safety (Minimum 6 years of experience in FS, Developing TSC, FSR, TSR, HSR and SSR)
- ISO26262 external audit experience and gap analysis
- Vast experience in handling customers and leading teams
- Vehicle and Dynamometer testing experience
- Fair knowledge and hands on experience in power electronics controllers used for battery management, inverter management, motor maneuvering & position sensing and DC-DC conversion
- L1 ISO 26262 certification
- Deep understanding of System Architecture involved in ECU
- Good understanding of Electronics circuits in ECU for PE Sub-Sy
- Expertise in microcontroller, its on-chip peripherals and ASIC's
