Job Summary
Lead and execute safety-critical embedded/semiconductor development and certification per ISO 26262 and IEC 61508. Develop and maintain Functional Safety Plans and safety cases, perform safety analyses (FMEDA, FTA, DFA), coordinate with hardware/software/systems teams, ensure requirements traceability, participate in audits, and guide project teams on safety processes. Preferred credentials include TÜV AFSP or equivalent, with automotive or industrial safety experience. Travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in functional safety, embedded systems, or semiconductor product development
- Solid understanding of ISO 26262 IEC 61508 Safety lifecycle processes
- Experience with FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA methodologies
- Embedded hardware and/or software systems
- Requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., Polarion)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned safety activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
