Job Summary
Senior Software Development Engineer on Remitly's Regional Growth team, focused on expanding and accelerating global growth by enabling new markets, integrating with regional Identity verification services and local payment systems, reducing fraud, and delivering scalable user experiences. Responsibilities include leading large-scale web/mobile architectures, managing complex projects, mentoring engineers, collaborating across teams, and participating in on-call rotations. Location: Kraków, hybrid work model with in-office requirement.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience building features used by millions of users
- Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Golang
- Skilled in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and React Native with SSR
- Experience creating and implementing app rollout plans, instrumentation and supportability
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers
- Willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving domain
