Senior Full Stack Python Developer - FT

Job Summary
Take technical ownership of the AI-enabled research platform architecture, implementation, and delivery. Design and develop modern full-stack web applications using Python and React or Next.js, building secure backend services, REST APIs, and authentication. Design scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud while implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring. Integrate external APIs, research systems, and AI/ML services to develop dashboards, reports, and user workflows. Collaborate with researchers to translate requirements into software solutions and recommend architectural improvements. Produce technical documentation to support long-term maintainability. Submit a resume and links to GitHub repositories or technical portfolios.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience building production web applications
- Strong Python backend development experience
- Experience building modern frontend applications using React or Next.js
- Experience designing scalable software architecture and RESTful APIs
- Experience with relational databases and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong software engineering, testing, debugging, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating AI or machine learning capabilities into production software
- Knowledge of prediction, forecasting, recommendation, classification, or optimization techniques
- Experience with data visualization and analytics
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, or modern DevOps practices
- Experience developing research, scientific, or engineering software
- Familiarity with server user access, storage, backups, monitoring, logs, and deployment support
- Familiarity with server-side software dependencies, environment configuration, and resource usage
