Job Summary
Lead full-stack Java Spring Boot development for React-based UI applications within a multiyear IT modernization effort. Participate in the full agile application development life cycle for microservice API development, utilizing JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber for automated unit testing. Collaborate on Agile Scrum teams to complete user stories, develop usable code independently, and contribute to acceptance, functional, load, and performance testing. Assist with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and code reviews while adhering to development standards. Communicate committed stories to stakeholders and interface with external teams to explain application functionality. Requires Final Secret DoD clearance and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Must be in the Laurel MD area in order to travel to office or customer as needed
- Master's degree in related discipline plus four (4) years of experience; or bachelor's degree in related discipline plus eight (8) years of related experience; or twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years in Software Development without a degree
- Experience developing code in microservice-based architectures
- Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and React
- 8+ years experience in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira / Confluence etc
- 3+ years of Agile experience utilizing DevSecOps & CI/CD pipelines
- 5+ years of experience developing React web applications
- Must be a US Citizen able to obtain Final Secret DoD clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with the DoD STIG process
