Job Summary
Build and maintain high-quality client-facing applications, internal tools, APIs, and microservices across TypeScript, Kotlin, and Java stacks. Design seamless user journeys and robust backend microservices while partnering with Product, Operations, Design, and Data teams to streamline complex workflows. Write clean, testable code with a focus on security, data privacy, and operational reliability in a regulated environment. Contribute to architectural improvements, testing, and observability, with opportunities to mentor peers and shape technical direction. Work hands-on with modern AI tooling to build intelligent features into products and engineering workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or comparable practical industry experience building production-grade software
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript
- Strong hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js)
- Strong hands-on experience with backend frameworks (Node.js, NestJS)
- Practical experience with Kotlin (or Java)
- Experience building and operating production backend services (APIs, databases, serverless/lambdas)
- Good understanding of REST APIs
- Good understanding of GraphQL
- Good understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (e.g., JWT)
- Good understanding of service-to-service integrations
- Working knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure and tooling, such as AWS
- Working knowledge of Docker
- Working knowledge of Git
- Working knowledge of CI/CD
- Working knowledge of production observability/debugging
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to make pragmatic engineering and product trade-offs while taking ownership from idea to production
- Clear, open, and concise communication skills
- Professional fluency in English
