Job Summary
Senior Full Stack Engineer to build the real-time voice AI product powering Zendesk’s live conversations. Design and implement backend services for real-time voice communications, including telephony integrations, WebRTC and real-time audio processing, and external AI/speech services. Ship end-to-end features across backend systems and, when required, user-facing web experiences. Improve platform reliability and performance through monitoring, tracing, autoscaling, and failure recovery. Address turn-taking, interruptions, and graceful handoffs to humans. Collaborate with product, design, and ML/speech teams to deliver polished voice experiences with strong UX.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years building production software with significant backend engineering experience
- Experience with real-time or event-driven systems (WebRTC, SIP, streaming APIs)
- Proficiency in Python or equivalent backend languages and async architectures
