Job Summary
Own end-to-end delivery of internal tools for sales, operations, and support functions, translating rough business briefs into working software using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Build frontends, backends, and data layers without handing parts off, while leveraging AI coding agents as genuine productivity multipliers. Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform, manage production health through monitoring and incident response, and integrate with external systems via APIs. Partner directly with the Director and analysts to shape product scope and prioritize work, while mentoring engineers and unblocking AI-assisted contributors. Continuously improve the development workflow to enhance team velocity and safety. Based in Egypt or Jordan with the legal right to work there.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with the receipts to back it up — production systems you've shipped and supported.
- Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript across the stack: React on the frontend, Node.js/Express (or similar) on the backend.
- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Real, day-to-day fluency with AI coding agents — you treat them as production tools, understand their failure modes, and have shipped meaningful work with them.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complete products end-to-end without waiting for detailed requirements or product specs.
- Comfortable owning infrastructure: deploying to a cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure), managing secrets, and operating production services.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English — you will work with non-engineering stakeholders daily.
- High-agency mindset: you close the loop without being asked twice and surface risks early.
- Based in Egypt or Jordan with the legal right to work there.
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience deploying and operating on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager).
- Familiarity with PostgREST, row-level security, and database-level authorization patterns.
- Experience integrating with Salesforce, Saudi-specific APIs (Wathq, Nafath), or payment platforms.
- Background in SaaS, FinTech, or operations-heavy companies.
- Arabic language skills, for engaging with regional integrations and documentation.
- Open-source contributions or public technical writing.
