Senior Full-stack Engineer - Mapping Web Services

Job Summary
Own and architect backend services using FastAPI for the HD Mapping team's web infrastructure while supporting frontend tool development with TypeScript, React, MUI, and Deck.gl. Automate complex pipelines and workflows, establish coding guidelines, and refactor existing code to follow best practices. Mentor team members on web technologies and distributed systems. This role requires strong backend and distributed systems experience, proficiency in Python and TypeScript, and knowledge of Postgres and RESTful APIs. You will also demonstrate the ability to lead technical initiatives and automate workflows using Airflow. Bonus qualifications include experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCI, and geospatial data.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in backend development and distributed systems
- Frontend experience and knowledge of best practices (proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React)
- Knowledge of relational database design (Postgres) and RESTful API development
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor others
- Experience automating complex workflows (Airflow)
Desired Qualifications

- Knowledge of geospatial data and coordinate systems
