Job Summary
Senior Full Stack Engineer for The New York Times Games Web Platform Team. Hybrid role based in New York City. Build foundational web infrastructure and shared UI component libraries to enable high-quality gaming experiences, develop new puzzle capabilities for the internal editorial platform, and create scalable APIs in Go to support the Games ecosystem. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Editorial teams; participate in code reviews and establish best practices; contribute to a culture of journalistic independence. 必須 5+ years in software engineering; strong frontend (JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, React); server-side Go (or Java/Python); cloud infra (AWS/GCP), Docker, and edge/CDN; DevOps and observability tools familiarity; on-call hours likely. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Frontend fundamentals and frameworks (JavaScript ES6+, HTML, CSS/SCSS, React)
- Experience building shared component libraries
- Server-side code experience (Go; Java or Python acceptable)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), Docker, and edge/CDN technologies (e.g., Fastly)
- Collaborative, product-oriented mindset with cross-team partnership experience
