Job Summary
Conduct technical assessments to shape digital transformation strategies and architectural roadmaps for Operations-focused systems. Design, develop, test, and deploy next-generation Mobile Applications (Flutter), Web Applications (Angular), and backend services (Node.js/.NET) to support Scoot Operations departments. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, document technical specifications, and present architecture proposals to drive decision-making. Independently decompose projects into manageable tasks while advocating Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipeline setup and automated testing. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and UI/UX design improvements to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Web Application and Mobile Application development
- Proven experience in architecting enterprise-scale web and mobile solutions, with strong knowledge of hybrid and cross-platform frameworks
- At least 5 years of experience delivering complex, multi-platform solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams (designers, front-end developers, DevOps, mobile engineers, and backend service teams)
- Strong proficiency (3+ years) in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery
- Solid background in DevOps setup and automation for multi-disciplinary development teams, including CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems
- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks across mobile, web, and API layers to ensure high product quality
- In-depth understanding of modern application architectures such as MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
- Familiarity with GitLab, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Agile collaboration tools
- Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Desired Qualifications
- Strong backend development experience using Node.js, including API and microservices architecture
- Experience building and maintaining Angular or other modern front-end frameworks
- Prior experience delivering digital solutions for airline/aviation operations (e.g., ground operations, flight operations, ops control, engineering, safety/security)
- Having Navitaire NewSkies and/or AIMS knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with AI-assisted application development (e.g., leveraging LLM tools for coding, test generation, refactoring, documentation, or integrating AI capabilities into apps responsibly)
