Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Summary
Build a brand-new platform from the ground up, shaping architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices while developing secure, scalable web and mobile solutions. Design APIs, integrate with external providers, and ship through automated CI/CD pipelines on AWS, ensuring compliance and security by design. Influence technical direction through code reviews, mentoring teammates, and collaborating across Product and Design to deliver high-quality solutions. Drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices and development workflows. This role requires no direct reports, offering a path focused on deepening engineering craft rather than management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role (5+ years)
- Experience developing web-based and mobile applications
- Experience with Vue 2 or 3, Nuxt 3, Typescript, NodeJS, or similar frameworks such as React, Angular, Svelte
- Familiarity with source control tools (Github)
- Proven experience building REST API's
- Architecture and design judgment - you can weigh trade-offs between speed, scalability and simplicity, and explain your reasoning in a way both engineers and non-engineers can follow
- Full stack depth - genuinely strong on both sides of the stack - comfortable moving between front-end componentry, API design, data modelling and infrastructure in the same week
- Applicants for this position should hold a valid visa to work full-time in NZ
