Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain internal business applications using React and Node.js, deploying to AWS with event-driven architecture patterns via SNS, SQS, and EventBridge. Write clean, well-tested code and resolve live environment issues while collaborating with the team lead and product owners to translate requirements into working software. Contribute to continuous improvement of team practices and tooling. This role is based out of the central Manchester office three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years' Full Stack Experience: Proven senior level professional experience building and maintaining full stack applications, comfortable working across the front end and back end
- Proficiency in React & Node.js: Strong hands-on skills in React (hooks, state management) and Node.js, with experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Database Fundamentals: Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Cloud & AWS Awareness: Commercial exprience of AWS fundamentals, with an interest in CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Event-Driven Architecture: Exposure to or interest in event-driven patterns such as SNS, SQS and EventBridge
- Quality-Focused Approach: A proactive, quality-focused approach to writing clean, well-tested code, with experience using Git and collaborative version control
- Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within an Agile/Scrum team
- This role will be based out of our central Manchester office 3 days per week
